An 8 night/9 day tour that gives visitors a taste of Tibet with sightseeing in Lhasa and Tibet's two next most important cities: Shigatse and Gyantse. All the major monasteries are covered, and guests manage to see a fair amount of high-altitude countryside as well. The first day or two are spent sightseeing in Kathmandu whilst Tibetan visa formalities are processed.

Day 2  : Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath and

Day 3  : Fly to Lhasa (B)
Day 4  : Sightseeing tour of Potala palace and Jokhang temple in Lhasa (B)
Day 5  : Visit Drepung monastery and Sera monastery (B)
Day 6  : Drive to Shigatse via Gyantse; visit Kumbum and Palkhor (B)
Day 7  : Visit Tashilunpo monastery, then drive back to Lhasa (B)
Day 8  : Fly to Kathmandu; half day sightseeing tour to Patan (B/D)
Day 9  : Tour concludes (B)

Note: Because a full working day (week day) is needed to process the Tibet visa, please ensure that you time your trip to arrive in Kathmandu either early in the week or latest on Wednesday.
