10 days Naadam Festival (11 July) and South Gobi Tour Tour Code: TPT-3003

An exciting 9 night/10 day tour that traverses the southern part of the Great Mongolian Gobi, an area that comprises 30 percent of Mongolia's land mass. Somewhat inaccurately translating as "desert", it features high mountains, springs, forests, sand dunes, steppe lands and a rich animal kingdom, and has been inhabited since ancient times. We explore the Yol valley, a spectacular gorge, and the Khongor Sand Dunes and environs, also visiting local nomadic tribal gers. In addition, we are lucky enough to attend the first day of Ulaanbaatar's world famous Naadam festivel and take in plenty of the cultural, religious and scenic sites in and around the capital city.
